Aztec Softball Team Sweeps the Cardinal

SAN DIEGO — Laura Norenberg batted and pitched San Diego State to a nonconference doubleheader sweep of Stanford Friday, 1-0 and 5-0, at SDSU.
With the first game scorless going into the bottom of the seventh inning, Norenberg singled, advanced to third on a single and a sacrifice and then scored on a hit by Barb Mayes. Lisa Michie (10-14) shut out the Cardinal to earn the win.
In the nightcap, Norenberg blanked Stanford.
The Aztecs improved their record to 19-27. Stanford is 4-25.
