Holmes is Gone, but Not Controversy
I don’t know how old Mike Downey is, but if he reaches or has reached the age of 36 and feels in good shape, just let him get in that ring for 15 three-minute rounds, move around, duck and throw punches--even without an opponent, just paramedics.
Next, throw in an unbeaten Michael Spinks, a hostile crowd, a broken right thumb from the second round on and try it again. And then write about whether or not Holmes has any dignity.
We’re not done yet, Mike. Now add an outrageously wrong decision. There’s no way Holmes took less than 9 of those 15 rounds. He had a hell of lot to beef about after the last fight of his remarkable career.

Downey is 34 and can easily go three rounds with his shadow.
