San Diego Prep Track : Southwest’s Crawford Breaks Marks

Tracy Crawford of Southwest High School broke her own conference records Thursday at the Metro Conference field event finals at Southwestern College.

Crawford threw 153 feet, her third-best throw of the year, to win the discus. She also threw 40-2 to win the shotput.

Tim Tomlinson, also of Southwest, won the boys’ discus with a personal best of 141-2 and the shotput (48-6).

Hue Nguyen of Castle Park cleared 14-0 to win the pole vault. Mike Serrano of Southwest was second at 13-6.
