Former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes asked the International Boxing Federation to overturn his April loss to Michael Spinks, saying he was a victim of poor judging by two of the three ringside officials.

Holmes lost a split decision to Spinks in their title rematch in Las Vegas April 19. Spinks had won the IBF title from Holmes in 1985.

The Nevada Boxing Commission upheld the result of the April fight last month. Holmes then appealed to the IBF, the sanctioning body for the title fight. The IBF committee is expected to rule in about two weeks.
