Saratoga race stewards suspended Angel Cordero Jr. for 10 days for interfering with Personal Flag during the running of Saturday’s Travers Stakes at Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Cordero said he will appeal the suspension to the State Gaming and Wagering Board, giving him time to complete the 24-day Saratoga meet.

With six days remaining in the meet, Cordero is leading the jockey standings with 22 victories. Jose Santos is second with 13.
