Saddleback High School scored a 41-6 nonleague victory over Santa Ana Valley Thursday night in Santa Ana Stadium.

Saddleback took a 20-0 halftime lead and scored 21 more points in the third quarter.

Senior tailback Nate Primous rushed for 117 yards in 10 carries, including a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, to lead the Roadrunners. Quarterback Sean Therien completed 6 of 11 passes for 68 yards and 1 touchdown for Saddleback.

A bad snap on a Santa Ana Valley punt set up the first of three Saddleback touchdowns in the third quarter. The Roadrunners recovered the loose ball on the Falcon 10-yard line and scored three plays later on an eight-yard pass play from Therien to Bobby Thurmond. Santa Ana Valley fumbled on its next play from scrimmage, leading to another Roadrunner touchdown.
