Todd Leads Laguna Beach to 21-7 Win
Tailback Jonathan Todd rushed for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns in 20 carries Friday night to lead Laguna Beach High School to a 21-7 victory over El Segundo in the season opener for both at El Segundo High.
Todd, a 5-foot 11-inch, 210-pound senior, scored on touchdown runs of six yards in the second quarter and two yards in the third as the Artists built a 21-0 lead.
El Segundo averted a shutout when Joe Montanez threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Donavan Gallatin in the fourth quarter.
