Faith Baptist 47, Webb 10--Randy Lutz and Richard Leon led the Faith Baptist offense, which gained 411 yards on the ground on 60 rushes. Nine Faith Baptist players carried the ball. The Contenders passed just twice.

Lutz, a senior running back, carried the ball 16 times for 114 yards and one touchdown. Leon, the quarterback, had 94 yards in 12 carries. He also completed one of two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.

The Contenders dominated the game from the outset. David Hariston’s two-yard touchdown run capped an 11-play, 65-yard drive on their initial possession.

First Lutheran 24, Buckley 8--Quarterback Aaron Silva scored on touchdown runs of 25, 25, and 4 yards to lead the Falcons to a nonleague win.

Darin Wand led First Lutheran with 66 yards on on 21 carries and had a 56-yard kickoff return to set up the final score. Silva had 55 yards on five tries. He also completed one of two passes for 21 yards.

First Lutheran is 2-0 as an independent in the Eight-Man Division.
