Scout Dick Lascola of Fallbrook estimates he drives nearly 800 miles each weekend to watch high school and community college football games. Here’s Lascola’s traveling itinerary from last weekend:
Thursday afternoon--Leaves his home in Fallbrook.
Thursday evening--Arrives in Pomona for the first half of the Claremont-Ganesha game. Leaves game at halftime and drives to Cerritos for the second half of the Ontario-Cerritos game. Drives home to Fallbrook.
Friday morning--Leaves home in Fallbrook.
Friday afternoon--Attends two L.A. City Section games in Los Angeles.
Friday evening--Drives from Los Angeles to Mission Viejo for the Fountain Valley-El Toro game. Drives home to Fallbrook.
Saturday afternoon--Leaves home in Fallbrook.
Saturday evening--Arrives in Costa Mesa for the Golden West-Orange Coast College game. Leaves at halftime to attend the Fullerton-Rancho Santiago game in Fullerton. Drives home to Fallbrook.
