Community College Roundup : Leatherman’s 4 Goals Lead Orange Coast Win

Chuck Leatherman scored four goals Tuesday to lead Orange Coast College to a 14-8 victory over Rancho Santiago in an Orange Empire Conference water polo match at Rancho Santiago.
The Pirates are 3-1 in conference, 12-1 overall. Rancho Santiago is 2-1, 10-2.
OCC plays host to Citrus College Friday.
In other Orange Empire Conference matches:
Saddleback 14, San Diego Mesa 12--Keith Shore scored six goals to lead the Gauchos (3-0, 6-0-1) at Saddleback.
Grossmont 10, Cypress 9--Brian Howe scored five goals for the Chargers (0-3, 1-10) at Cypress.
In South Coast Conference play:
Golden West 22, Rio Hondo 2--Craig Douglas scored five goals and Peter Buckley and Arn Van Dyke scored four each to help the Rustlers (3-0, 7-2) at Golden West.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
San Diego City 3, Golden West 2--Antonio Vega scored the winning goal with less than a minute to play at Golden West.
In nonconference women’s soccer:
Golden West 1, Bakersfield 1--The Rustlers battled the Renegades to a tie.
