Reed Helps Lift Orange Past Villa Park
Wide receiver Kerry Reed scored on a 32-yard pass play from quarterback Mike Stock with 1:17 remaining, lifting Orange High School to a 20-17 upset victory over Villa Park Friday night at Fred Kelly Stadium.
The come-from-behind win gave the Panthers (2-2) their first win over district rival Villa Park (2-2) since 1979.
Villa Park appeared to have the game won when Ryan Hayes kicked a 35-yard field goal midway through the final period, giving the Spartans a 17-14 lead. After an exchange of punts, Orange drove 40 yards in six plays for the winning touchdown.
