Loyola 30, El Camino Real 0--The Cubs took advantage of three El Camino turnovers to score three touchdowns in the first six minutes en route to a nonleague shutout victory Saturday at Glendale High.
With 9:43 left in the first quarter, Loyola quarterback George Paton scored on a 15-yard run. Paton also completed 8 of 12 passes for 80 yards.
Less than two minutes later, Loyola running back James Roughan ran 29 yards for a touchdown.
With 6:09 remaining in the quarter, running back John Winnek ran 19 yards for a touchdown. Winnek had 10 carries for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Quarterback Carl McFadden led the El Camino offense, completing 10 of 21 passes for 104 yards. He was intercepted twice.
