Lyman, Larson Lead Pierce Cross-Country
Damon Lyman and Cindy Larson led the Pierce College cross-country teams to third and second place finishes in a four-way Western State Conference meet at Will Rogers State Park in Santa Monica on Friday.
Bakersfield won the men’s meet with 42 points, followed by Oxnard (52), Pierce (59) and Santa Monica (65).
In the women’s meet, Santa Monica finished first with 19 points followed by Pierce (59), Bakersfield (61) and Oxnard (no score).
Lyman, a sophomore, finished fourth with a 22:06 over the four-mile course. Teammate Frank Rangel finished eighth in 22:16.
Larson also finished fourth, clocking a 20:21 over the women’s three-mile course.
