Defensive back Joey Speakes of Poly recovered a Westchester fumble at the Comet’s one-yard line. He then switched to quarterback and scored on a one-yard sneak to put Poly ahead, 6-0. . . . Poly went ahead, 13-0, in the second quarter when Speakes threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Mike Poss. . . . After Westchester had narrowed the lead to 13-8, Speakes capped a 10-play, 61-yard drive with another one-yard sneak with 2:01 left in the half.
