Segota Assists Sockers to Win Over Wichita
Bronco Segota scored once and had three assists to lead the San Diego Sockers to a 6-3 exhibition victory over Wichita in front of 9,471 in Denver’s McNichols Arena Saturday night.
The Sockers led, 3-0, after the first period on goals by Fernando Clavijo, Jean Willrich and Raffaele Ruotolo. Wichita trailed, 3-2, at halftime, but the Sockers scored three unanswered goals in the second half to improve their exhibition record to 2-1. Willrich and Clavijo each scored twice for the Sockers.
