Unseeded Sergio Casal of Spain continued his string of upsets in the Paris Open indoor tennis tournament and will play Wimbledon champion Boris Becker of West Germany in today’s final.

Casal surprised Tim Mayotte, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. Becker, seeded No. 1, beat Henri Leconte of France, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Casal, ranked 100th in the world, survived qualifying competition to enter the main draw. He upset John McEnroe Friday. McEnroe’s outbursts at the chair umpire during the match cost him a $3,000 fine and what could be a 42-day suspension.

McEnroe tried to get on the good side of officials Saturday.

While playing a doubles semifinal match with Peter Fleming, McEnroe disputed a call. This time, the chair umpire overruled the linesman and reversed the call in favor of the McEnroe-Fleming team.

McEnroe knelt and kissed the ground three times. McEnroe and Fleming beat Sherwood Stewart and Francisco Gonzales of Puerto Rico, 7-6, 6-2.

The United States completed its second consecutive seven-match sweep of Britain in the 58th Wightman Cup when Elise Burgin and Anne White scored a 7-6, 6-3 doubles victory over Anne Hobbs and Jo Durie.

Earlier in the day, Bonnie Gadusek rallied to beat Hobbs, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, and Kathy Rinaldi defeated Durie, 6-4, 6-2.

Two-time defending champion Andres Gomez of Ecuador and Ramesh Krishnan of India posted easy victories to advance into today’s final of the $200,000 Seiko Super tournament at Hong Kong.

Gomez, seeded second, defeated third-seeded Aaron Krickstein, 6-4, 6-1, while Krishnan downed Australia’s Pat Cash, 6-4, 6-2.
