Deer Comes On Like Bull in Hardware Shop

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. —
A deer crashed through the front window of a hardware store and went on a rampage, causing an estimated $1,000 worth of damage. Richard Smollen, owner of Dreher-Smith Co., on Saturday found bags of fertilizer trampled and wall displays broken at his store. Although no one reported seeing the deer, Smollen said he found a piece of deer horn and fur at the store.
