Tim Witherspoon will defend his World Boxing Assn. heavyweight championship in a rematch against Tony Tubbs Dec. 12 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Witherspoon beat Tubbs last January, but after traces of marijuana were found in Witherspoon’s urine, he was fined $25,000 and ordered to give Tubbs a rematch.
