Flores Says Raiders Will Probably Finish Season With Plunkett

Coach Tom Flores finally made it official Wednesday: Jim Plunkett will start for the Raiders against the Cleveland Browns Sunday . . . and beyond.

“Barring injury, Jim is likely to finish the season,” Flores said.

What that means for future seasons remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Plunkett is finding out how many different old jokes the world can come up with.

“I know in a way it’s a compliment,” he said. “On the other hand, they’re getting old.”
