Letters from the University of Texas to the NCAA report the “improper transportation” of a high school football recruit in 1985, but do not support charges that Texas accused other Southwest Conference schools of recruiting violations.
Seven letters from the university to the NCAA were released to the Austin American-Statesman under the Texas Open Records Act, the newspaper said.
The letters contain the school’s responses to five allegations of improprieties in Texas’ athletic programs and accuse the University of Florida of violations in its swimming program.
