Police are seeking a suspect in the kidnaping and rape of a 35-year-old woman Monday afternoon.

Police said the suspect waited for his victim in her car while she was shopping at the Sears store on Fletcher Parkway. When she returned, he held a knife to her throat, taped her mouth and hands and drove to another parking lot in the East County.

The suspect moved the woman to a camper or RV where he raped her. He then put her back into her car and fled in the camper, police said.

The victim told police her assailant was white, of heavy build and more than 6 feet tall. He had a beard, mustache, brown hair and brown eyes.
