Valley College Women Win Easily in Tournament

Demetra Johnson scored 22 points to lead the Valley College women’s basketball team to a 66-53 victory over Rancho Santiago on Thursday in the first round of the Fullerton tournament.
Johnson, a former All-City forward at Dorsey High, was 11 of 19 from the field and has scored 45 points in her first two collegiate games, both Valley victories.
Sophomore forward Maryjo Testa, a returning All-Mountain Valley Conference selection, added 16 points for Valley.
