Chapman’s Wekesa Reaches Tennis Final

Paul Wekesa of Chapman College won two matches Monday to reach the Rolex Small College Championships final at the Sanibel Harbor Resort in Sanibel, Fla.

Wekesa, ranked seventh in NCAA Division II, beat Aca Sormarno of Ferris State, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2, before defeating top-seeded Jean Roussell of Midland College, 6-3, 6-4, in the semifinals.

Wekesa faces Mauricio Achondo of Cal State Hayward today for the championship.
