Elliot Uzelac, an assistant at the University of Michigan, was named Navy’s head football coach.

Uzelac, was an assistant at the academy in 1971 and 1972 before going to Michigan as an assistant coach for two years. He then went to Western Michigan as head coach from 1975-1981 before returning to Michigan, where he has been the offensive line coach the last five years.
