Orange County Prep Soccer : Karnes Leads La Quinta Girls

Robin Karnes, a sophomore forward, scored three goals to lead La Quinta High School to a 6-0 victory over Bolsa Grande in a Garden Grove League girls’ soccer match Tuesday at La Quinta.

Kristin Harkins, Renee Cano and Lara Crowley added one goal each for the Aztecs (2-0, 16-3-1). Bolsa Grande is 1-1 in league.

In the Empire League:

Pacifica 2, El Dorado 1-The Mariners won at Pacifica. Nichole Eyre scored for El Dorado (3-4, 3-7-1).

In the South Coast League:

Mission Viejo 1, Dana Hills 0--Julie Foudy, a sophomore halfback, scored 16 minutes into the second half for the Diablos (3-0, 16-0-1) at Mission Viejo. The Dolphins are 1-1-1, 11-4-2.

Capistrano Valley 2, Irvine 1--Brittany Leonard and Kristen Kulow scored for the Cougars (2-0-1, 10-0-2) at Irvine. Raquel Speers had 16 saves for the Vaqueros.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Beach 2, Trabuco Hills 1--Jane Harris and Suzy Sassin scored for the Artists at Laguna Beach.

In boys’ soccer:

Long Beach Wilson 2, Brea-Olinda 2--Chris Elliott scored eight minutes into the first half for the Wildcats (1-0-1, 7-4-3). Jarred Burns scored the Wildcats’ second goal off a penalty kick. Mike Tran and David Wells each scored on penalty kicks for Wilson (2-0, 6-0-3) at Brea-Olinda.
