The Goodyear blimp is equipped with some pretty high-tech gear that runs messages on its sides, but some of the programmers must not be up-to-date on the state of pro football.
One message that kept repeating as the blimp floated above the Rose Bowl Sunday was: “Good Luck, Giants of the NFL, Broncos of the AFL, in Super Bowl XXI.”
The American Football League merged with the National Football League more than 20 years ago.
