The Atlanta Falcons, searching for a new head coach after the firing of Dan Henning, have sought permission to talk with New York Giant Coach Bill Parcells, it was reported.
According to the Atlanta Constitution, the Giants denied permission, though the Falcons have been in contact with Parcells’ attorney, Robert Fraley of Orlando, Fla.
Parcells himself angrily denied that he is interested in talking to Atlanta.
The Falcons are willing to offer Parcells $900,000 a year to become coach and general manager, the Constitution said. Parcells makes $300,000 with the Giants.
