COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS : CSUN Wins Swim Meet, 147-12

Jeff Kubiak and Mike Baele each won two events as to highlight Cal State Northridge’s 147-12 victory over UC Riverside in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. swim meet Saturday at Northridge.
Kubiak clocked 2:02.08 in the 200-yard butterfly and 2:09.12 in the 200-yard backstroke. Baele swam 48.31 and 1:49.13 in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events. The victory raise CSUN’s dual meet record to 9-1. Northridge also won the women’s meet, 115-11.
BASEBALL
Rancho Santiago 17, Valley 9--Jeff McMasters was 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs, but Valley (1-1) was outhit, 15-10, and committed four errors in the nonconference game.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Ventura 80, Moorpark 50--Linda Roberson scored a game-high 24 points for Ventura in the Western State Conference game at home.
