Egan Named MVP in Orange League

Brea-Olinda senior Carrie Egan was voted the most valuable player in the Orange League for the second consecutive season by a vote of the league’s girls’ basketball coaches.
Egan was one of three Wildcats, co-champions with Valencia, who made the first team. Teammates Kristen McPhee and Susan Tousey also were voted to the first team.
Magnolia, which finished third, and Valencia also put three players on the first team. Western had one.
Jim Irby of Magnolia and Debbie Woeoke of Valencia were picked co-coaches of the year.
