Padre Minor Leaguers Lose to USIU, 10-4
YUMA, Ariz. —
Steve Hendricks went 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs to lead United States International University to a 10-4 victory over a team made up of Padre minor league players.
The Gulls put the game away early by scoring six runs in the first inning, half of those coming on a three-run homer by Opie Moran. USIU’s John Ronis went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs and Noel Bishop went the distance in the eight-inning game for the victory.
