HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS : BOYS SOCCER

Royal 3, Hart 2--Royal’s Shaun Christensen had two goals and one assist in this second-round match in the Southern Section 4-A playoffs. Christensen scored the winning goal on a penalty kick in the first overtime. Bob Wolfe scored twice for Hart (17-5-4). Royal (23-1-2) plays Mater Dei in a quarterfinal on Friday.

Westlake 1, Santa Barbara 0--Hans Linnes scored the winning goal with an assist from Cobi Jones at the 25-minute mark of the first half in the second round of the Southern Section 4-A playoffs. Westlake (21-1-2) plays Bishop Montgomery in Friday’s quarterfinal.

Agoura 5, Cabrillo 0--The defending Southern Section 1-A champion advanced to Friday’s quarterfinal against Mesrobian. Cabrillo (9-8-2) had just two shots on goal against Agoura goalie Mitch Meyers. Scoring for Agoura (15-1-4) were Mike Eckel, Egan Forino, Rob Sahm, Brian Blau and Dan Salzman.

Oak Park 1, Santa Paula 0--Oak Park outscored Santa Paula, 4-2, in a shoot-out during the second-round match of a Southern Section 1-A playoff. Joey Gerty, Scott Gibbons, Darren Dysart and Matt Constantine scored for Oak Park (11-7-2) in the shoot-out. Oak Park plays Carpinteria in the quarterfinals Friday.

GIRLS SOCCER

Alemany 3, Royal 0--Kelly Cook, Lisa Gill and Sondra Shotkin scored a goal each for Alemany (16-5-5) in the second round match of the Southern Section 3-A playoffs. Alemany plays Laguna Hills in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Agoura 2, Montclair 0--Dawn Krenik scored two goals for defending champion Agoura (18-1-3) in the second round of the Southern Section 2-A playoffs. Agoura plays Monrovia in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Temple City 5, Oak Park 0--Oak Park (9-8-3) had 15 shots on goal but failed to score in the Southern Section 2-A playoffs.
