Cal State Long Beach, its losing streak at five, will play UC Santa Barbara tonight at Goleta.
The 49ers, who haven’t won since they beat Santa Barbara three weeks ago, 81-77, need a victory to clinch a berth in the PCAA tournament. If they don’t win one of their last two games, they can make the tournament only if University of the Pacific loses its last two games.
The Gauchos (13-11, 8-7) are in second place in the PCAA. Long Beach (12-16 and 7-9) is tied for seventh.
