Third baseman Mark Holcomb hit a game-winning home run off Bill Lucid with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to lead St. Bernard to a 3-2 victory over Alemany at the Westside tournament. . . . Jeff Light went 4 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles and 5 RBIs to lead Montclair Prep (1-1) to an 18-4 win over Bell-Jeff (0-3) in a second-round Westside tournament game. Montclair Prep’s Nathan Hill was 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs and Keyaan Cook was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. . . . Matt Finley pitched a two-hitter and had nine strikeouts in Chatsworth’s 5-1 victory over Westchester (1-1) at the Westside tournament. Joel Wolfe went 3 for 3 with a home run, triple and two RBIs for Chatsworth (2-1).

Greg Barton doubled home Pat Murphy in the fifth inning and Tim Knowd pitched a two-hitter and struck out nine as Crespi (2-1) beat Mayfair, 3-2, in the El Segundo tournament. . . . Westlake (2-1) routed Palos Verdes, 11-2, at the El Segundo tournament behind the hitting of Matt Franco (3 for 3 with 2 RBIs) and Ed Aguilar (3 for 3 with 3 RBIs). . . . Simi Valley beat Cerritos, 6-3, in the El Segundo tournament behind two home runs by Tim Laker.

Chaminade (1-0) defeated Agoura, 3-2, in a nonleague game as John Hreno singled home Tim Lavin in the bottom of the eighth. . . . Freshman Frank Fernandez went 4 for 5 and stole 4 bases, but Moorpark dropped an eight-inning, 5-4, nonleague decision to Nordhoff.. . . . Alfonso Martinez doubled home Geoff Freedman in the bottom of the sixth as Rio Mesa (2-0) defeated Thousand Oaks, 5-4, in a Ventura tournament game.

Luis Porres went 3 for 3 and drove in 3 runs and Miguel Delgado threw a two-hitter as Poly defeated Hollywood, 24-0, in an East Valley League game at Hollywood. Bill Chavez had two hits and two RBIs and Ali Aguilar had a two-run double for Poly (3-0). . . . Junior Aaron Rudelson threw a three-hitter and struck out 10 to lead Highland Hall to a 14-2 season-opening win over Cal Prep. Highland Hall stole 10 bases. . . . Luka Pecel went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBIs to lead Buckley (1-1) to a 12-3 win over Queen of Angels (0-1).

SOFTBALL

Junior right-hander K.C. Mancebo tossed a two-hitter and struck out 10 in Montclair Prep’s 7-5 season-opening nonleague victory over Moorpark. Jodi Schenkman and Shauna Whitmore each had two hits and two RBIs for Montclair Prep. . . . Michelle Vail hit a two-run homer and pitched a one-hitter to lead Village Christian to a 13-0 win over Pasadena.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Eric Treibatch had 14 kills and Bill Rumack had nine blocks as Montclair Prep (2-1) beat Murphy, 15-13, 15-3, 11-15, 15-2, in a nonleague match at Murphy. . . . Bobby Hillman had 17 putaways and Mike Lowe 13 as Harvard defeated Chaminade, 15-3, 15-0, 9-15, 15-0, in a Santa Fe League match at Harvard. . . . Scott Sciarabba had 15 kills to lead visiting Alemany (3-0) over Flintridge Prep, 6-15, 15-8, 15-12, 15-2.

BOYS SWIMMING

Chap BeHaven and Eric Rose each scored double victories as Crespi beat Harvard, 79 1/2-76 1/2, in a nonleague meet at Harvard. BeHaven won the 200 and 500 freestyle events and Rose won the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke.

GOLF

Darrin Ikeda shot a 3-over-par 34 to lead Grant to a 190-245 nine-hole victory over Westchester in a City 3-A match at Westchester Golf Course.

TRACK

Despite Bryan Dameworth’s three victories, the Agoura boys lost to Channel Islands, 66-61, in a nonleague dual meet. Dameworth, a freshman, ran 2:02.2 in the 880, 4:36.0 in the mile and 10:21.0 in the two-mile. Agoura is 0-1. . . . In the girls meet, Agoura (1-0) defeated Channel Islands, 61-56. Agoura junior Jenny Whelchel won the shotput with an effort of 39-11.

BOYS TENNIS

Tom McDonald beat his adopted brother, Mark Huynh, during a doubles match to highlight Burbank’s 13-5 victory over Notre Dame in a nonleague match at Burbank. McDonald teamed with Steve Chang and defeated Huynh and Ferdinand Tomas, 6-2.
