Former University of Miami tight end Willie Smith was arrested on charges of strong-armed robbery for taking a gold chain from a woman’s neck, police in Miami said.
Smith, who signed a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year, was arrested Tuesday and is free on $10,000 bond, police said.
The arrest is the second charge against Smith in less than a year. Last June, Smith was charged with cocaine and weapons possession charges after a small amount of the drug and a pistol were found in his car.
