Two Errors Lead to 5-2 Cypress Defeat

College of the Canyons scored four runs on two errors in the sixth inning to defeat Cypress College, 5-2, in a nonconference community college softball game at Cypress.

The Chargers (14-19) led 2-0 through the fifth inning. Freshman Noel Parker (12-17), who allowed just two hits through through 5 innings, pitched a complete game and gave up four hits. Cypress got its runs in the third inning when Sue Boxley singled in Robin Takeuci and scored on Dee Dee Shepard’s triple.
