Celtics to Lose Walton for at Least Two Games

Bill Walton will miss at least the next two games and possibly the rest of the Boston Celtics’ National Basketball Assn. Eastern Conference second-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks after aggravating an injury to his right ankle.

Tests at University Hospital in Boston Thursday showed that the injury-plagued center suffered a hairline fracture during Wednesday night’s 126-124 victory, which gave the Celtics a 2-0 lead over the Bucks in their best-of-seven series.

The team said Walton would not be available when the Celtics play Games 3 and 4 tonight and Sunday, respectively, and that he was doubtful for the rest of the series.
