COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS : WOMEN’S TENNIS
Third-seeded Xenia Anastasiadou of Cal Poly Pomona rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory over Portia George of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in the finals of the singles competition at the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championships at Cal State Northridge.
In the doubles final, the top-seeded team of George and Christina Bokelund of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville topped third-seeded Donna Sykes and Carol Tabor of Abilene Christian 7-5, 6-2.
