John Cushman Honored With Scout Award

John C. Cushman III, president and chief executive of Cushman Realty Corp., has received the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America's National Court of Honor.

The award is given to Eagle Scouts who, after 25 years, have distinguished themselves in their careers and in service to the human race.

Former president Gerald R. Ford presented the award to Cushman, who was lauded for his extensive involvement in several community groups.

Cushman joined the Cub Scouts in 1949, and became a Boy Scout in 1952. He is still a volunteer with his sons' scout troop, and is vice chairman of the BSA's Los Angeles Area Council.
