A fire believed to have been sparked by a plumber’s torch caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to an office building Thursday in Burbank, a fire official said.
The fire started shortly before 11 a.m. on the second floor of the two-story, wood-frame and stucco professional building in the 1600 block of West Olive Avenue, Burbank Battalion Chief Mike Davis said.
A woman who had been working in the building was treated at a local hospital for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported, Davis said.
The fire severely damaged most of the building’s second floor, he said.
Eleven fire companies took about an hour to extinguish the blaze.
