A Los Angeles man was arrested Tuesday and a second man remained at large after the two allegedly stole about $5,000 in stereo equipment and tried to escape in a stolen van, Orange police said.

The burglary occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. at Absolute Audio, 1232 N. Tustin Ave., police spokesman Bob Gustafson said. Officers responding to the burglary call saw a 1972 Dodge van, stolen earlier in the city of Tustin, leaving the store’s parking lot. It sped off, winding through about half a mile of residential streets before stopping, he said.

Both men attempted to flee, but one, Edward Price, 22, was found hiding in bushes, Gustafson said. The other suspect could not be located.
