Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Ira Reiner announced that he is considering filing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder against a Japanese businessman who was convicted last week in Tokyo of the attempted murder of his wife in Los Angeles six years ago. Reiner said a team of investigators will leave for Japan on Aug. 17 to gather evidence against Kazuyoshi Miura, 40, sentenced to six years in prison for a 1981 attack on his wife, Kazumi, by his girlfriend, Michiko Yazawa. Reiner, who said he was “encouraged” by Miura’s conviction, said he is also considering filing murder charges against Miura in the fatal shooting of Kazumi Miura in Los Angeles three months later.
