Orange County College Roundup : Titans Easily Beat USD in Soccer, 5-0

Senior midfielder Ben Macaluso scored the first of his two goals at the 8:28 mark of the first half to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 5-0 victory over the University of San Diego in men’s nonconference soccer Wednesday at Fullerton.

Macaluso scored another goal at 15:40, and junior Joe Baeskens scored at 21:15 to give Fullerton a 3-0 halftime lead.

The Titans (2-2) had goals from Steve Crevoiserat and Gary McKimmey in the second half.

Freshman goaltender Bryan Fisher, who starred at Villa Park High School, made four saves to record his first collegiate shutout.

The Toreros are 3-2.

In women’s nonconference soccer:

UC Irvine 2, Occidental 0--Karen Anderson scored in the first half and Holly Fong scored in the second half at Irvine.

Robin Monico had one save and posted her first shutout of the season for Irvine (1-2-1).

In men’s nonconference soccer:

Christ College Irvine 4, Pacific Coast Christian 2--Xa Vang and Bob Pellitier scored in the first half and Nelson Rodney scored two goals in the second half for Christ College (2-2). Jeff Riedman had four saves for Christ College.

Pacific Coast Christian is 0-5.
