UC San Diego Wins in Volleyball
SAN DIEGO —
Janet Hughes had 12 kills and 7 blocks and Diana Klintworth added 9 kills Saturday to lead UC San Diego, the NCAA’s top-ranked Division III team, to a 15-3, 15-2, 15-11 nonconference women’s volleyball victory over Chapman College at UCSD.
UCSD (13-2) also had 27 assists from Carol Lipson. Chapman fell to 3-7.
In other women’s volleyball:
Hawaii 3, San Diego State 1--Teee Williams had 18 kills as Hawaii, the nation’s No. 2-ranked Division I team, beat SDSU.
