More than 1,000 fans greeted the Giants at San Francisco International Airport when they returned home from St. Louis after being beaten in the National League playoffs by the Cardinals.
“This is unbelievable,” Manager Roger Craig said of the airport greeting. “Just fantastic. . . . If we’d have won, I suppose they’d have met us on the runway.”
