With Kennedy trailing, 23-20, and facing a fourth-and-3 at the Palisades 4-yard line with a 1:30 remaining in the game, Ron Hardy of Kennedy was dropped for a 2-yard loss. . . . Kennedy had pulled to within three points on a 12-play, 65-yard drive 4 minutes into the final quarter, capped by a 3-yard touchdown run by Hardy. . . . Quarterback Perry Klein, who averaged 436 yards in his first three games, threw touchdown passes that gave Palisades leads of 17-12 and 23-13. The first touchdown was a 19-yard pass to Harold Champion in the second quarter. The second was a 17-yard pass to Louis Randall in the third quarter. . . . Kennedy, which had been shut out in its last two games while managing only 165 total yards, rolled up 352 yards.

Tony Smetz (K) completed 7 of 14 passes for 70 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
