Bo Jackson’s Raider Workout Delayed
Speculation that Bo Jackson would join the returning Raider players for their conditioning workouts this weekend was scotched Friday.
The Raiders reportedly are concerned that by bringing the running back in two days before a game, they might be losing a full week of the two-week exemption new players are given before they must be counted on the active roster.
“Right now, I don’t know what his status is,” Coach Tom Flores said of the former Heisman Trophy winner from Auburn, who has played baseball the last two seasons with the Kansas City Royals. “Al (Davis) has been taking care of most of this.”
Jackson is expected to begin working out with the team next week.
