USD Set to Face Chris Dabrow and Claremont-Mudd
SAN DIEGO — The University of San Diego’s football team, which has had three shutouts this season, will play Claremont-Mudd, led by senior running back Chris Dabrow, today at 1:30 at Claremont.
Dabrow has rushed for 761 yards in five games for Claremont, which has a 3-2 record. Last year against USD, Dabrow gained 150 yards and scored a touchdown in the Stags’ 13-9 victory.
Claremont finished 8-1 last year and was ranked in the NCAA Division III preseason top 20 this year. The Stags fell out of the rankings this week after a 13-9 loss last Saturday to Menlo College.
USD (4-1-1) held Pomona-Pitzer, a team that likes to run, to one yard net rushing in its 42-6 victory last week.
The Toreros, who went 3-1 during a four-game stretch at home, return to the road for the first time since Sept. 19, when they beat Redlands, 28-0.
