Valley Moves Into First Place in Water Polo
Valley College moved into sole possession of first place in the Southern California Conference water polo standings with a 10-9 win over San Bernardino on Friday at Valley.
Valley (10-8, 4-1 in conference play) never trailed as Josh Foster scored four goals and John Marshall and David Scott each added two goals.
“Marshall played excellent defense,” Valley Coach Bill Krauss said. “Goalie Pat Malcolm really made the difference for us.”
Malcolm recorded 12 saves.
Valley’s win knocked San Bernardino (3-2 in conference play) out of a two-way tie for first place. The Monarchs have one conference game remaining.
