Alhambra : Temporary Fire Station
A temporary fire station to serve the southern part of Alhambra will be opened on Valley Boulevard at Benito Avenue by the middle of this month, City Manager Kevin Murphy said.
The temporary station, on property owned by the Home for the Aged of the Protestant Episcopal Church, will replace two fire stations that were damaged in last month’s earthquake. The agreement with the Episcopal home will allow the city to install portable buildings to house fire equipment and provide living quarters for firefighters while the damaged stations are rebuilt or repaired.
