Simi Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies of Injuries
A Simi Valley man died of injuries he suffered when struck by a car as he tried to cross a street, police said Thursday.
It was raining heavily when Harold Ambrose, 75, was hit while crossing the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Sequoia Avenue about 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Simi Valley Police Sgt. Arch Morgan said. Ambrose died 2 1/2 hours later at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital.
The driver of the car, Juan Arroyo, 38, of Simi Valley, was not charged. Morgan said Arroyo had a green light and Ambrose was wearing dark clothing while visibility was poor.
